9' Tunnel (the most popular size) has a 22" diameter, and comes in Royal Blue w/red stripes (see picture above). Shipping is included in this price!
The perfect solution for an affordable, yet durable tunnel for backyard practice! Featuring a steel coil that is sewn inside the lining (nothing will catch on the dog), and like a big slinky it condenses up for easy lightweight storage. The material has the weight and feel of lightweight canvas. It is durable, resists the roughness of dogs claws, yet only weighs between 8-12 lbs compared to competition tunnels that weigh about 50 pounds! The minimum length for competition tunnels is 10 feet long, but most trials and clubs buy a minimum of 15', because you can do more shapes with it, such as an "S"-shaped trap stretched under an A-frame. Our 9' Practice Tunnels can be curved for extra challenge.
Good for all dogs except the very large breeds. It may work for dogs as large as a German Shepherd or Golden Retriever. However if you want to induce more speed in your larger dog, we would encourage you to consider either the Super Giant Tunnel (with a 28" diameter). The main reason for this is these tunnels are lighter-weight and need to be "stationed" down from rolling side to side. Whatever brace you use (including our wicket braces) will constrict the tunnel to be a little smaller. So the 22" diameter might be constricted to 20" instead.
Practice Tunnels are affordable, but if cared for will last you many years. Weathering qualities of these tunnels are like canvas tents. Long exposure will dry them out however. We recommend storing them when not in use for a week or longer, and also applying a can of waterproof spray such as scotchgard for longer use.
