Pull the hair up by combing from the outside corner of each eye, and up to the center of the head. (or back just a bit) Brush the hair into a neat little topknot and make sure it is centered between their ears. Using a Latex band, Band this semi loosely. Push the entire topknot forward keeping your fingers against the head to make a bit of a poof, and then tighten the band. Place the band from the topknot bow over the first latex band. Wrap twice. If your topknot is too tight, your yorkie will have squinted eyes :) Loosen that bow or try again until you get the hang of it!
Remove topknots carefully so as not to break the hair. Our special band removal scissors work great to take out the latex band that you applied first. If you happen to break a band on a bow, our bows do have a second band. You can reuse each band if you are careful with your topknot removal. Have fun styling your little yorkie!
